Posted: June 12 2017

Town Council adopted the fiscal year 2018 budget at its June 2017 regular meeting. Some of the highlights from the budget include the "zeroing out" of the capitation tax and the elimination of certain annexation fees in cases involving land formally designated by the State of Delaware as wetlands. In addition, the Town is funding several capital projects for the improvement and prosperity of the Town - including, but not limited to, construction of a new police station, revitalization of the sidewalks on Main and State streets, and the repaving of Monroe Street.
